We went to Vincey's house and grilled food and ate food and were taken prisoner by Mathan. We also played board games like Forbidden Island and Dungeon Quest and the game whupped us all. I also burnt my fingers on the hot metal grilling tongs and tried making conversation with Matt. That did not go well. I think I will just let us lapse into awkward silence next time.

Friends of Vincey's parents came over and an Asian fest started in her backyard. I swear, I haven't heard this much Chinese spoken since I watched all those Chinese soap operas as a young kid. As soon as it got dark, we lit fireworks. I played with the miniature pop-its and the O Magnificent One lit silver snow fountains. Vincey, Ben (the Chinese one), the O Magnificent One, and I also did this four square where we lit Roman candles all at once. I also got to use sparklers for the first time in my life. "You can write your name with it," O Magnificent One told me.

I also built legos with Mathan and the four of us played another round of Dungeon Quest. I should go buy that game. Ben (the white one) and Melissa would like it. Then we could fulfill what the O Magnificent One had said to his boss, Jamie, once: "We have an apartment now so we can...party all summer! And by party, I mean play board games."

Play board games, indeed. I can't wait for Hollywood Lives!
