Retourner

Dear Readers,

I'm back! Yeah, and you thought you had seen the last of this wretched blogger. Muhahaha! Now I can waste even more of your time by filling your head with the useless stories of my plight in life.

Let's get started. But first, an explanation.

After discussing it over with my friend Melissa, it turns out that since she is not restarting her own blog soon, then it would be okay for me to restart mine. I'm happy to do so, as you can probably tell.

Now, let's see. What first?

I went to Groupthink last Thursday (the 25th of September, I believe). It was astounding. We spent two hours in a group of 19 people (me included) and discussed the prisons and legal systems of America. This led to comparisons of similar systems from around the world and discussions of politics, the economy, and terrorism as well (along with a few anecdotes).

Quoted:

"This one guy who worked for Google wrote about Google in a blog. You know, some negative comments and, of course, Google found it."
"Gee, I wonder how they did that?"

"You can't kill someone if they are unarmed and more than fifty feet from you. Of course, you could if they were."
"What if they were the president?"

"My mom got in trouble one time because my brother brought a knife to school. My mother got in trouble."

As you can tell, it was a lot of fun. I only wish Taiyo (the guy who actually invited me) was there. He would probably have a lot to say. Melissa and Johnathon might have liked it too. They are the most politically aware in our group and are always griping about everything from gas prices to the next president of the free world to the stupid people living in the free world so yeah, they would fit right in.

Afterwards, a few of us left and some others joined to watch the Season 4 premiere of the Office. In this show, everyone in the Office tries to lose weight so the big bosses will give them five days off. In general, they lose four pounds, they gain back one, they lose zero pounds, they gain some more, you get the idea.

Quoted:

Michael Scott (trying to make his colleagues feel better for not really losing that much weight):
"You are all gigantic losers!"

Hah. I love that show.

Funny, I recognized Sammy Dombrosky after it was over and we ended up talking. I love reconnecting with old acquaintances.

Peace. Out. More. Later.
